本日のノースショア、フレッシュノースウエストスエルが入り、
クリーンな３フィート、プリティバックドアが出現〜〜
プロジュニア、ウーメンプロとも行われず、
終日キッズセッションとなった〜〜
Fresh north west swell filled in and
this clean 3 ft kind nice Backdoor appeared~~~
Pro Junior & Womens Pro weren’t held so
kids session all day long~~~

リョウタのホームブレイクは西湘の吉浜。
波質は早く、大きくなればぶっちゃけダンパーとなる。
そんなブレイクでサーフィンを育んできたので、
スタイルも必然的にクィックモードとなる。
Ryota’s home break is Yoshihama in Seisho.
Waves are rapid so when it gets big, it becomes a dumper.
So his surfing style becomes like quicky mode.

バックドアは鬼混みしてたが、お隣のオフザは何気にエンプティだった。
オフザでカッポウエイブをキャッチしたカイは、バックドアに移行したが、
キッズのガチャガチャに翻弄され、またオフザに戻って来た〜〜（正解〜）
Backdoor was so crowded but Off The Wall was actually pretty empty.
Kai moved to Backdoor after catching couple waves but
got outnumbered by the kids there so got back to Off The Wall~~~

すっかりノースモードのスイッチが入ったカイトは、
まず朝一ガスチェンのベンジー宅へ行き、波をチェック。
今日も雲一つないゴージャスウエザーのグラッシーモーニング。
最高のコンディションが昨日〜今日と続いた〜〜〜
Kaito’s now in North Shore mode so
went to Gas Chambers to check the wave.
Gorgeous weather with no cloud.
Perfect condition is still continuing~~~

その日の良い場所で必ずジョシュアの姿を見かける。
週末のラージノースノースウエストスエルが入る様なので、
そこでプロジュニアが行われる模様だ。
I see Joshua every where from yesterday.
Large north west swell’s gonna fill in from this weekend so
Pro Junior might be held.

世界のサーフィン界でも一世を風靡したパンチョ。
現在はカリッサムーアの専属コーチとして、一緒にラインアップしている。
二人の共通点はやはりパワーサーフィンだろう。
がたいを活かした太いトラック／カービングが
二人の求めるスタイルに繋がっている。
Pancho once dominated the world.
Right now, he’s Carissa Moore’s coach and surfs in the line up with her.
The similar point with him & her is “Power Surfing”.
Thick track and curving with their body is
the same part they’re trying to achieve.

WSL初戦、ロキシープロではぶっちぎりのサーフィンで優勝し、
幸先良い２０１５年度のツアーの幕を切ったカリッサ。
今季は再びグランドチャンプ奪回に向けて、
コーチ／パンチョと共にその意欲が感じられる。
ゴー、カリッサ〜〜〜！！
Carissa won the first WSL, Roxy Pro and
made a good start this year.
I could feel their strong feeling to
get back the Grand Champion this year~~~
