明日から５／２２をピークにずっとパンピングですね〜〜〜
羨ましい、、、
その恩恵か、ハワイ／オアフ／サウスショアにも、
週末にかけスエルがやって来る模様です〜〜
今年の５月は珍しく夏のハワイに居ますが、
昨年の今頃はタヒチ／チョポにロックオンしていたことが懐かしく感じられます。
日本人精鋭サーファー／６人と、コアサーフジャパンチーム／３人、
計９名、チョポへの一念で、バリ／サムドラビル社サポートの元、
２週間チョポに張り付く事ができました。
またあそこに身を置きたい、そんな想いが日々募って来るのです、、、

But we’re getting some swell from this weekend in South Shore~~
It feels like that last year’s Teahupoo session was long ago.
That 6 elite Japanese surfers and 3 Core Surf Japan members.
Stayed there for 2 weeks by Samudra Biru’s support.
My will to go there is getting powerful and powerful.

Takayuki Wakita
まるでイチロー選手の様に、無言実行で若手を引っ張って行ったワキタ。
Wakita pulled the young ones with no words like Ichiro.
Keito Matsuoka & Matahi Drollet
狂気とも言えるプルインを繰り返しインプルーブしたケイトとロコボーイのマテ。
マテはこの取材の後、マンモスチョポをトウインで乗り込みその名を轟かせた。
Keito & Matahi, who made a crazy pull in many times and improved their self.
After this Teahupoo session, Matahi made his self famous by doing a tow-in at a
humongous Teahupoo.
Shun Murakami
パイプでドミネイトし、このチョポツアーに抜擢され、
また今年のヴォルコムパイプで素晴らしいパフォーマンスを発揮したシュン。
Shun dominated on Pipe and made his self to Teahupoo with us and
showed a wonderful performance on this year’s Volcom Pipe.
Shota Nakamura
恐るべし身体能力でアメイジングなバックサイドアタックを披露してくれたショウタ。
Shota showed us amazing back-side attack with his wonderful physical ability.
Reo Inaba
他の若手にない独特のサーフィンスタイルを持つレオも初めてのチョポを経験した。
Reo was his first time surfing in Teahupoo.
Tatsuya Fukagawa
タツヤらしい無言のガッツィーで二週間に渡るチョポツアーを完遂した。
Tatsuya finished with his silent guts.

Matahi Drollet
タヒチレジェンド／マノアドゥローレットの弟であり、
このトリップのボートドライバーをしてくれたシンディの弟でもあるマテ。
素晴らしい環境の中でメキメキと上達しているネイチャーボーイだ。
Matahi Drollet is Manoa Drollet, the Tahitian Legend’s brother and
also our boat driver, Cindy’s brother as well.
Natural boy that improving his skills in this wonderful situation.
Keoni Yan
チョポに近くのタラバオに住むケオヤンもずっと俺達のセッションに付き合ってくれた。
マテやケオニのおかげでラインアップのムードも緩和され、
終始気持ち良いチョポデイズを送れたと言える。
Keoni Yan, who lives hear Teahupoo also surfed with us.
Thanks to Matahi & Keoni to making the line up’s mood nice.
We were able to enjoy the days in Teahupoo till the end.
Mitsuteru Kamio
カミオ君の真骨頂とも言えるフィッシーが最大に生かされるのもチョポの波だ。
チョポの海で泳ぎに泳ぎまくった至福の時だった。
Kamio’s fishy works the best in Teahupoo.
He swam all day long.
Cindy & Kin
かつては毎年の様に通っていたタヒチ／チョポだったが、
しばらくぶりに訪れ、やっぱり最高なラブリーカントリーだと再認識した。
I use to visit Teahupoo, Tahiti every year but
didn’t come here for a while and I realized that this place is such a lovely country.
