昨日の狂気の夕方セッションからは一気に下がってしまった日本海だったが、
クリーンな３〜４〜５〜コンディションとなり、
モーニングシックネスが取れ、朝二のライトがボックスのレフトを照らし出す頃、
急にオフショアに振り、ライトよりもレフトの穴が開きだした。
丁度その頃板を真っ二つに折ってしまったマーは、
ボードを取り替え再びピークに戻ると、
ドンピシャのタイミングで波がゴーインオフしだしてきた〜〜
After yesterday’s mad session, size started to get small but
condition got cleaner and
waves started to change into barrel kind after offshore wind
started to blow from late morning.
When Mar got to the peak, that’s when the waves started to go off~~

今日はサイズダウンしたので、通常のタイトチャンネルからパドルアウトの二人。
６フィートは残るかと思われたが、これもまた日本海マジックだね〜
Size went down today so this two paddled out from this channel.
Thought size will keep up to 6 ft bu Japan Sea magic spell was spelled.

ノースショアでのチャージがマーの目に止まり、
マーと同じリーフチームとなったジョー君／中学３年生。
今回の日本海セッションもマーたっての希望でジョーが誘われた。
昨日のビッグウエイブにも臆する事無く海に立ち向かって行ったのは流石だった。
Joe’s charge in North Shore got into Mar’s eyes and
got into the same Reef Team.
He was invited to this session by Mar’s request.
Pretty impressive when he got out that yesterday’s big waves.

大分前から日本海ボックスをやってみたいと言っていたマーだったが、
何気にタイミングが合わずこれまでやったことがなかったが、
今回は伊豆に居ながらも９時間ドライブを駆使して、昨日日本海入りしてきた。
そして、昨日のクレージービッグウエイブセッション、
そして、今日のクリーンバレルセッションを味わい、
なんとこのセッションが終わるや弾丸の様に帰って行った。
コンペティターとしてのマーが成して来た事は偉大だが、
あくなきスラブ波の求道者としてもいよいよ磨きがかかってきた。
伊豆からドライバーとして拉致られたミッチ君、お疲れ様〜〜 
Mar was saying he always wanted to surf this place, Box and
he finally got his chance to surf here.
Luckily, he met yesterday’s crazy big wave session and
this clean barrel session.
And went back home right after this session.
Mar’s achievements he earned is splendid but
also with his spirit of inquiry.
Mitch, who came as a driver of Mar. Good work~~

足繁くボックスに通うタカヒデも、昨年の夏のスエルで歴史的なライドを見せてくれた。
Takahide, who comes here often showed us one historical ride last year summer.

ビハインドピークからレフティにプルインしていったケイジ。
潰されたかと思いきやフォンボールの中から見事カムアウトしてきてみせた。
Keiji pulled into this lefty from behind the peak.
Thought he was smashed but he came out.

セッション後半、タイゾウが明日行われる鳥取でのサーフ＆スケートイベントのため、
沖縄から４人のボーイズを連れてき、チームメイトでもある大阪のコウスケ等と合体し、
日本海にやってきた。
ボックスセッションの後も、オンショアながらサイズのあるビーチで２ラウンドこなし、
夜は守源旅館でお風呂と夕食を頂き、そのまま鳥取へ旅立っていった〜
ジョーは引き続き居残り、、
コウスケは明日岸和田だんじりのためこのままパパと帰阪したが、
にゃんと道中高速で猪と激突し車は破壊、幸い体は無事だったが、
レッカー車で帰宅する羽目となった〜〜
In the end of the day, we caught up with Taizo’s group
who was heading to the competition at Tottori.
After these session, we had a hot spa at Mrigen’s place and
they drive off to Tottori~~
Joe will be staying with us…
Kosuke went back to Osaka with his dad because of this festival he has to participate but
while they were driving back, they had an accident with a wild boar.
Luckily no one was injured but their car was destroyed so
got back home with a tow truck~~~

マー君等が帰京の途についているころ、
ボーイズは今日３ラウンド目のビーチブレイクを真っ暗になるまで楽しんだ。
何気に沖縄にはこういった当たり前の様なビーチブレイクがないんだよね〜〜
While Mar was going back to Izu,
boys enjoyed their last session till the place got dark.
Too sad there ain’t too much beach breaks that is able to surf like in Okinawa~~~
