本日のノースショア、よ〜〜〜〜やく風がトレードに戻り、
オフザウォールステージがカムバックした〜〜
チョッピー後のスエルのため、ややバラバラダンパー気味だったが、
選べばやはり強烈なオフザバレルがあり、
そんな中、オオタミツキは珠玉の一本をとらえてきた〜〜
Wind finally got back to trade wind so
Off The Wall stage is back to life~~~
Swell was after the choppy day so got dumper kind but
there were some Off The Wall kind barrel and
Mitsuki Ohta got this nice one~~~

このタイチのバックドアボムセットもえぐかった〜〜
クローズアウトをものともせず、このティックなポケットにプルイン〜
かなり筒の中を走って行った〜〜

今日はノーススエルがきつく、パイプよりもオフザ側がでかく、
オフザドアのレフトもせりたっていた〜
North swell was strong so Off The Wall side was bigger and
lefty side was also hollow~~
Keijiro Nishi
昨日はイズキにもらったフリフリチキンとカレーを持ち帰り、
兄弟仲良くゴージャスディナーだったと言う。
ケイジロウ、グッドジョブ！！
Keijiro had a nice chicken curry made by Izuki last night’s dinner.

Izuki Tanaka with Keijiro Nishi
ハワイに来るまでは冬の千葉でずっとイズキにケアされていたケイジロウ。
お互いが刺激しあえるサーフバディ／良き師弟関係の二人だ。
Keijiro was taken care by Izuki the whole time in Chiba before he came here.
Looks like they’re like a good surf buddy.
Ren Murakami
兄もシュンはオーストラリアへ、
そして山利シラスハウスの兄貴だったタツヤとショウタも帰国、
ちょっぴり寂しそうなレン君だが、
何かに取り憑かれた様なハードなプルインを繰り返して行った。
可愛い顔から想像もつかないこのガッツはなんなんだ！？
Ren’s both brother went to Australia and
Tatsuya & Shota went back to Japan as well so
he’s a bit lonely but
he was making so hard move.
What’s with his guts from that cute face!?
Ryo Kodama
朝一はどうみてもドダンパーで、パイプもバックドアもオフザも良くなかったが、
トレードが吹いて来ると、少しの時間帯だけ良くなった。
Morning condition was horrible but
after trade wind started to blow, condition got better for a while.

ゴープロを口にくわえてプルインのユウト。
揉まれた時落とさんのかにゃ？
Yuto pulling in with his GoPro in his mouth.
Wont he lose it when he gets wiped out?
Aoi Maeshiro
パイプ側はノースがきつく肩が落ちて、すぐにサンドバーになってしまい、
カレントの渦中にあった。
Pipe side’s north swell was strong so becomes to sand bar really fast and
gets worth by the current.

２月に入ってからノース入りしてきたカイリだったが、
ずっとドオンショアのコンディションだったため、
今日からようやくフォトセッション開始〜〜〜
Kairi got in from Fevruary and
condition was onshore for a while but
finally got into this photo session~~~
Masaru Kase
昼近くになると緩いオンショアが吹き出し、
リップラインは乱れ出したが、その分人も減り、
マサルは最後の最後までバックドアバレルを狙い続けた。
Soft onshore started to blow from lunch time and
lip line got a bit disturbed but that made the place emty so
Masaru was able to aim for the barrel till the end.

こうやって半日オフザのビーチで撮影するのも何日ぶりだろうか？
それほどオンショアが続いた稀なシーズンだ。
Didn’t shoot at Off The Wall for all day long for a while.
Onshore sure did last long.

今日の日本人のウエイブオブザデイは、ミツキの一本か、
このカイトのダブルバレルかだろう。

Kairi Noro
一昨日、今季２度目のノース入りしてきたカイリボーイ。
今回はオフザのビラボンハウスに泊まり、キッズ合宿に入っている。
今朝はレイノズコーチらとプエナポイントでサーフし、
帰って来てからも間髪入れずにバックドアでプルイン〜〜〜
Kairi got back to North Shore again.
He’s staying at Billabong House with the other kids.
He surfed at Puena Point with his coach and
surfed at Backdoor right away after he got back~~~
Akira Shindo
明後日帰国のシンドウアキラが、最後の最後で執念とも言える一本を決めた。
実は前回のオフザセッションで２本のベストセットをパーリングしてしまい、
フィッシーフォトグ／カミオとのコネクトをミスってしまった。
その悔しさ、リベンジを想っての今日のオフザセッション。
オンショアが吹き出し、海が波がリップがチューブがよれだしてきた。
そんな中、ダブルアップした波をとらえ、ねじこみプルインすると、
バレルがオープンアップしだし、水中で構えるカミオの前をずっぽりかぶって、
見事カミングアウトしてきた。
アキラ、そしてカミオの想いが結実したモーメンツと言えよう。
たかがサーフィン、されどサーフィンなのだ！！
Akira Shindo is going back to Japan on the day after tomorrow but he made this
amazing shot before he goes back.
On the last Off The Wall session, he couldn’t make through 2 best sets and
couldn’t even connect to Kamio/ photographer.
But he made a revenge on today’s session.
Onshore started to blow so ocean was getting unstable but
when he pulled into this double upped wave, wave’s barrel started to open up
so he was able to go past through Kamio and came out.
Akira and Kamio’s hope became true.
It may be just surfing but that’s surfing!!

ラウンドー１に出場したオオノマサトシは３位、
タナカカイシュウは４位で敗退。
ラウンドー２／ヒートー６に出場したオオハラヒロトは１位通過。
ラウンドー２／ヒートー１０に出場したヤスイタクミは３位敗退。
ジャパンメンズはヒロト一人がラウンドー３へ〜
On Round 1, Masatoshi Ohno became 3rd place and
Kaishu Tanaka became 4th.
On Round 2, Hiroto Ohara won up as a 1st place.
Takumi Yasui lost as a 3rd place.
Only Hiroto is alive as a Japanese mens
