本日のノース、一気にジャンプアップして８〜１０〜１２プラス。
パイプはなんとかホールドし、ビラボン／パイプマスターズ、デイー１、オン〜
今日はワイルドカード２名を選ぶロコトライアルがマッシブパイプで行われた。
Size rose up to 8~10~12.
Condition is barely fine in Pipe so Pipe Masters was held~~
Local trial to pick 2 surfers were held for today.
@ Pipeline
前回のスエルよりもウエスト気味で、サイズもワイメアカインドまでいかず、
ビッグパイプで予選がスタートされることになった。
Swell was a bit westerly so size didn’t rise up to Waimea kind and
contest was able to hold through.
Adriano De Souza
ヒートがスタートされる前のモーニングセッションでは、
グラチャンを虎視眈々と狙うアドリアーノが一番のドセットをもぎとっていった〜
その気迫は半端じゃないっす！！
In the morning session,
Adriano caught the biggest set in the session~~
Nice passion!!
Owen Wright
タイトルレースに入っているオーウェンライトだったが、
この朝のセッションで脳しんとうを起こし、その後病院に行くと脳内出血と診断され、
明日からの本戦をキャンセルすることになってしまった。
Owen Wright was in the competition but
had a concussion during this session and got a diagnosis that he got a cerebral hemorrhage
so canceled to surf in the Pipe Masters.
Dane Reynolds
世界一ともいわれるフリーサーファーのデーンだが、
コンテストではいまいちその実力が発揮されないままだ。
One of the best free surfer in the world, Dane can’t
show his ability in the contest that much.
Jack Robinson
サンセット同様、パイプでもそのスキル／センスを遺憾なく発揮し、
堂々のトライアル優勝で見事本戦への切符を手にしたジャックロビンソン。
まさにオージー／ジョンジョンカインドのポテンシャルを証明した。
Jack Robinson performed perfectly in Sunset & Pipe and
got his ticket to the main battle.
He sure has one potential like John John.

Kaito Kino
トライアルラウンド／ヒートー７に出場したキノカイト。
２本のバレルライドをメイクしたが、いずれも浅くポイントが伸びず、
３位で敗退してしまった。
Kaito Kino surfed on Heat 7, Trial Round.
Made through 2 barrel rides but couldn’t score well so
lost as a 3rd place.
Mason Ho
トライアルファイナリストとなったメイソンホーだが、
３位となりワイルドカードを手にする事が出来なかったが、
まさかのオーウェンライトの欠場により本戦にゲットインする事が出来た。
Mason Ho became one of the finalist of the Trial but
became 3rd place and he could of lost the game but
Owen Wright couldn’t participate so he made his self into the main game.
Jamie O’Brien
ファイナルではジャックの次点２位に甘んじたジャーミーだが、
本戦ではCT選手を脅かす存在となるだろう。
Jamie was 2nd place in the final but
he’s gonna be one of the most fearsome CT Surfer in the game.
Kekoa Cazimero
終始調子良かったケコアだったがセミファイナルで負傷し、
ファイナルに出場はしたものの精彩を欠き、
４位でワイルドカードを手にする事が出来なかった。
Kekoa was performing well but got injured in the Semi-Final and
couldn’t surf like usual in the final and lost as a 4th place.
今日はトライアルのみが行われ、本戦は明日から行われる様だ。
Only trial was held and the main event will be held from tomorrow.

Takayuki Wakita
丸一日、ビラボン／パイプマスターズの日本語解説をしていたワキタだが、
ようやく夕方にはパドルアウトし、ラストウエイブはボンブセットにプルインしていった。
Wakita was working as a commentator for all day during the Pipe Masters but
he was able to surf the evening session and pulled into this bomb set.
Masatoshi Ohno
マーも試合終了後、暗くなるまで粘り、２本プルインしていった〜
日本の若手がパドルアウトしていかない中にあって、やはりワキタやマーの存在は大きい。
Mar was also caught 2 waves before the place got dark~~
No young Japanese surfers were going out so this 2 surfers are truly important for them.
